Hello!!!

Another week has come and gone.  It's been a good week.  It finally decided that it's going to be summer here.  And the Olympics are starting this week, although that means almost nothing to me, but....Yeah.  We don't have any events going on down here, but it should be cool, I'm sure that members will keep us updated on what's been going on.  Anywho...

So,this last week has been great.  My testimony of the Atonement has strengthened even more.  I promise to whoever reads this, that if we give our will to the Lord, he will make us the happiest that we could be!  I don't know why I held out so long, but what do you do?!  We live and we learn and hopefully we apply the things that we learn and don't have to learn them six more times, if you know what I mean.

We have been struggling finding new people to teach.  We've been trying to find people, but the only people we find that are remotely interested are people here on Holiday!  But it's good because we are planting seeds for future/other missionaries.  We have spoken to a lot of great people too, so that's been good.

Life as a missionary is good.  Sister Allred leaves soon, so I should be getting a new companion.  I hope that she's been out for a while though, I'm not ready to train, even though Sister Allred thinks I am and she takes every opportunity that she can to tell President Malar that, but...what do you do?!   Just leave it in the Lord's hands, there isn't much else we can do!

So yeah, life is great!  Grandma and Gramps...I would love to get your conversion stories if you would be so kind! I think it would be really useful and I've had people ask, so when you have time!

I hope that you're all doing well, and that you always turn to the Lord, because in Him you will find strength!  I love you all so so much!  Thanks for the Love and the support.

Remember how blessed we are to live in a free country!  Pioneer day is a great way to remember our freedom as a country and also as members of the one true church!  Life is so great and we are blessed to live in such a land!  Everyone take care, know that I love you all!

Thanks!

So...where do I even start.....

The weather has been pretty good.  It started out great and went a little down hill :)  Let's just say that it's been a rough week.  I don't feel like I've been doing as well as Icould as a missionary this last week, but don't worry, it's going to be different starting yesterday!

Before I go off on this week I just have to say that I absolutely love the gospel!  Isn't it the best!  We've been given such a great gift, and I am seeingit more and more the longer that I'm out.  It's been great to see how the Lord prepares and shapes us!  It's been cool talking to Sister Allred too, because she is going home at the end of this moves, in three weeks time, and so we are on completely different ends of the spectrum!  And it's been cool to hear how much she's changed and how she'll be different when she comes home!  She's so great, I love her so much and I'm so scared to lose her....I've tried to talk her into staying, which she is up for, but unfortunately and fortunately the Lord has other plans for her!

so this week.  We started out Monday good, had family home evening and it was great actually!  We talked about the spirit and how he guides and directs us and how we can recognize different promptings.  It really was good.  Tuesday was good, hard.  We had a few appointments set up, one of them being with our recent convert, and we were so excited to see him, but there was a miscommunication and we ended up not seeing him at all.  Then Wednesday we walked around in the Rain all day...it was pouring and we talked to some great people, but to be honest it's hard to talk to people on rainy days because they don't really want to stand out inthe rain, but it wasn't a bad day, just a wet and cold on.  Then on Thursday we had a scripture study class here at the church, and our recent convert didn't show up to that either, which he said he would. So he called us that night and let us know that he had slipped, and was struggling with the word of wisdom.  It honestly broke my heart.  Partially because Satan is real and obviously had gotten a hold of him, and the fact that we couldn't see him till the next morning.  Then we went over the next day and talked to him and he seemed to be doing fine.  People aren't perfect and so he said that today was the start of a new day.  We haven't seen or talked to him since.  He won't answer his phone and we've stopped by two or three times and can't get a hold of him.  We also found out some stuff about our investigator who will be getting baptized in a couple weeks that worries us!  And  a Less active memeber who is suicidal!  It is times like these that I am so grateful for the atonement and the enabling power.  It reminds me of a quote in Prech My Gospel.  Elder Holland says that we should be devastated when people don't read the Book of Mormon, or don't follow through on committments.  We can be devestated, but we don't allow ourselves to be down or destroyed.  We turn to the Lord and with a determination we move forward and put this all on Him, because He is the one who knows what these people need!

Anywho...this week is going to be great and hopefully the sun will come out a few times so that we can talk to everyone and their dog and invite them to have the best thing in the world!  Isn't it cool that we have the best thing, and that we are trying to share that with others!!!  The gospel is great!

I hope that all is going well at home!  I'll keep you updated, but I really am doing great despite the fact that last week was crazy!  I love the Lord.  I love the Gospel and I love all of you!

Thanks for all you do!

Hello to everyone!

Ok...drum roll for the most exciting news of the week!  DEREK GOT BAPTIZED!!!!  It's offical.  I've had a baptism.  I wish that you all could have been there!  He's come so far and it's been great to see him change and I seriously love this man so much!  He's so great!  I was talking to Sister Allred last night about how I'll still be here in a year...and you know what that means?!  That when (because he totally will!) he goes to the temple, hopefully I'll be around and be able to go with him!  I would love that so much.  Isn't the gospel the best thing ever!

Parveen, our other investigator will be getting baptized in a couple of weeks!  She is so sweet, and so soft spoken.  Sometimes I don't know what to say...because I'm not really a soft spoken person...but I absolutely love her to pieces and I am really excited for her to get baptized.

Other than that...life has been really great!  I feel like I'm becoming a better missionary....but at the same time I feel like Satan is doing everything in his power to keep me down, and I will be honest when I say that it's been rough.  I told Sister Allred last night that I feel like I've been handed a newborn babies sock and that I've been told to put it on my foot and pull it up over my head!  Missionary work is STRETCHING! It's so great though, because....well....it is!  It's so worth it to see people like Parveen and Derek feast on the words of Christ.  The Lord truly has blessed me so much since coming out!  It will be great to incorporate the things I learn here into the rest of my life as well!

I love the gospel so much!  I hope that if any of you are going through a hard time, or even a great time, to turn to our Lord, because He loves us so much and we are His joy.  What a cool promise!  He loves us so much!  I can't even imagine the joy he feels when we succeed and are happy!!!  King Benjamin had it right when he said that we are forever in his debt because He'll just continue to bless us!

I love you all!  I love England! I love the Gospel!  Thanks for all the love and support!
Love always!

oh Lo Everyone!

Another week, and another year older!  haha.  Well things are good here.  I'm so excited for this weekend!  It's going to be great.  Our first investigator is getting baptized...so this will be my first baptism in England!  I'm so excited (if you couldn't tell already).

So yeah, life is good.  We're trying to work hard, this week has been a little bit harder because I think both Sister Allred and I caught a little bug, she got it worse than I did, but we are fine now and things are great!

Last night, our Ward Mission Leaders wife, Sue Amos, took Sister Allred and I to Dartmouth Castle, and really it isn't a castle, it's really a fort, but it was so pretty!  Well, let me rephrase that, the castle was really cool, but England is so pretty!  It was pretty because it's the opening of the river to the sea.  It was breathtaking, not going to lie.

Other than that we just have been working.  It's kinda the same thing day in and day out.  Sister Allred is going home at the end of this moves (so the end of this 6 weeks) and I'm really sad because we get on so well.  Hmm....what else what else?!  I don't know...Life has been really good, I can't complain.  Hmm....yeah.  Oh!  I want everyone to have an awesome 4 of July, because really, our country is so great and we are so blessed to live in a land that is free!  I didn't realize how much we had, until you come over and you don't have it, even though it doesn't really affect me too much, but yeah!

Well, I love you all so much and Jessie and Erik, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  You're both so great and I hope that your day is AMAZING!!!!! You're both going to be sooooo OOOOLLLLLDDDDD!!!! LLOL!

I love you all so much and appreciate your love, your prayers and your support!  I couldn't do it without you!

Love ya tons!
