Oh deary me! Sorry about last week, I didn't write because I didn't have the time, and didn't really have too much to report on...silly me!
This last week hasbeen great! I have seen so many miracles!!! We got 5 new investigators this week, which is AWESOME! I don't even know where to start! We went to Totnes the other day and like the 3rd girl we talked to said...."Wait...are you Mormons?! I want to get baptized!" She had 'met' with the missionaries when she was 12....or rather her parents did, and she remembers the spirit the Elders brought when they were there. We were talking on the street for a minute and she asked us if she could buy us hot chocolate (or tea rather, but we don't drink tea....)anywho, so we taught her and are meeting with her again. She is so excited to come to church.
Then we were at the bus station, this was before we went out to Totnes actually, but it was cool because this guy was pushing his daughter in a stroller and he looked at me, (because we were sitting on these seats against the wall) and so I asked if he wanted to sit down...there was room, as I moved over and made room for him. Well, his reply was "don't be ridiculous sister Nelson"...weird that he knew my name, or rather that he said it like he recognized me. Well, come to find out he has met with missionaries before. Had a baptismal date. He practically threw his information at us and told us to come and teach him. yeah....that DOESN'T happen!!!! It was so great! That happened in the same day...YEAH FOR THE GOSPEL!!!!
So...the most exciting news I have is that my birthday is next week....hahahaha...just kidding! hahaha. It's that we have a guy we are teaching who has a baptismal date! Derek. he is so great, and it's been so great to see how much the Lord has prepared him. It truly is great to see that it really isn't me, but the Lord that helps people. We just play middle man :) It's been great to see him change. He came to church for the first time yesterday and he loved it! He was surprised that we learned here, ha ha. It's been a learning experience to be surrounded by so many people who haven't had this their entire lives! Yeah, I've taken so much for granted for sure. The gospel is so great, and we don't even realize how great it is!
So...my challenge this week to everyone would to be remember that the Lord answers prayers. When we pray for something...we need to expect answers. I know for myself and Sister Allred (becasue we've talked about it a lot) that we haven't really been expecting to get answers when we pray...but if we do our part, and expect the Lord to do his...well, I think that's what we're suppose to do and really what he wants us to do! So my challenge is pray with expectations in mind...on your part and also from the Lord. I love you all so so so so much! I hope all continues to be well wherever you may be!
Love from the across the pond!

Hola Family!

Ok....will someone watch Mega Mind for me?! I'm missing the movie like crazy! I don't know what it is except that I LOVE that movie...and I'm quoting it, but Sister Allred hasn't seen it, so I feel like she can't really appreciate when I do :( Poor me...right?!

So this week was good. We went around and visited a lot of less active members. We went to visit a less active...and when we told Brother Amos (our ward mission leader) that we were going to go and visit, he just laughed. she was kinda....out there, but she was really sweet. We went in and she had these two parrots that she has had for a while I guess and the were chillin up on the drapes. Anywho, she was like, they never poop, because I never find poop....well, let me tell you, there was poop there. She was out there and she was really sweet but there were a couple times that Sister Allred and I almost LOST it! We had to stop looking at each other because then we would start laughing, and it was really hard to keep it in. We are going to go back and visit her, so it should be great. We also visited this other lady, who is the bomb. Her husband has had a variety of illnesses for the last seven years and she is his primary care giver. It was really sad just because she can't really go out now, but she loves church and is excited to come back, but sad too, because he has alzheimers and parkinsons, so he doesn't even remember who she is most times. It's really sad, but by the time that we left she was my new hero. there are so many people that are out there that really make so much of the situations that they are in!

So...I'm missing America. I didn't realized how truly blessed that I am. It's kinda sad really! But I miss America and I've realized how truly blessed I have been to be raised in the church. It's such a huge blessing! I honestly didn't realize the difference it made, as selfish and silly as that may sound.

Hm...Oh! So there is this couple in our ward who are awesome. They have only been in the Church for about 6 months but if I didn't know that I woul think that they were in the church for forever! We went to eat with them on Saturday, and they said that they would take us out on a p-day to anywhere we wanted....so we might go to a castle, because there is one close! We also might be going to a light house today, it just depends on how things go with the rest of the day, because we've got an appointment this morning (thus the reason that I'm writing earlier) and a BBQ to go to! So yeah...

Hmm...I'm trying to think of what else. We finally met the Bishop yesterday! That was exciting! he is really great and it will be good to work closer with the ward to get people coming back and coming in. He promised us that if we worked hard, that we would see a baptism in this ward by the end of our first moves (first 6 weeks) so that will be cool, we just have to work hard to find people. A lot of people are interested in what we have to say, but no one really wants to change thier lives or meet with us again.

So...life is great. I'm getting more used to being a missionary! I love it :) I love you all! Take care of yourselves and remember who you are and all that you have! Lots of love!!!!
