I made it through a week! I wasn't sure if I was going to or not.  It's true when my companions say that weeks feel like days and days feel like weeks.  The week has flown by!

Hmm...so....I think that my visa is on it's way!  Happy happy day!  I actually have an awesome story to share with that one :)

So....Thursday.  We had to go to transfers because I was new, and they do the new orientation film/training then as well.  I am so glad that I still have Sis Kimball and Blackham here with me.  So one of the members had to drive us to the meeting because it is out of our area.  Well, the Sisters devised a plan to have Sister Robinson, from the ward, take us.  Guess where Sister Robinson is from?!  Well, you probably didn't guess it, because she is from Ireland, but she lived in London for a time, and her husband is from London.   So she told me all the places I needed to visit, and what it was like.  It was so great actually!  I got totally pumped.  then we went into the training and that was good, but I was reminded over and over again how this wasn't my mission, so that was a little hard.  Then people are always asking me. . .

Anywho...so later that night, when I was getting ready for bed (reds for beds >.<) the thought hit me that maybe I should fast for it.  Well, then (of course)  all these other thoughts came into my head about how I didn't really need to, and that we were eating lunch with a member the next day, so that might be weird.  I kept thinking about it, and, I know this is bad of me, but I didn't decided to really fast until the next morning.  So, I started fasting that I would be able to get my Visa, beacuse like Uncle Steve said....God doesn't have Visa problems.

So...later that night, I called Sister Niu (new) who works in the mission office, and guess what?!  She had just gotten an email that day about my visa and how it is on it's way to Colombus Ohio, and as soon as it gets here they will be making plans for me to leave!  I was so super excited!!!  Fasting works.  If I could tell all my stories about fasting, you'd be surprised, especially with the attitude that I had about it, but I do have a strong Testimony of answers to prayers and fasting.

We met this awesome family the other night.  We had the entire family standing at the doorway and they talked to us for like, thirty minutes.  They were really great, a very strong Catholic family.  But by the end of our talking the mom asked if she could have a Book of Mormon.  It's awesome too, because the reason I think they even talked to us was because their son, who was also there, was a friend of a mormon at school.  We have been stressing so much the last few days how important it is to recognize that members are missionaries!  Without them, we don't really have much of a job as missionaries.  So I would challenge (to whoever reads this) to remember that you are a missionary, that through your baptismal promises and covenants you told the Lord that you would be so!  :)  So remember, you have to stand as an example always!

Ok...I'm running out of time, but one last thing.  The Book of Mormon changes lives.  We have an investigator who is just starting to read the it.  It truly has changed my life, and I know that it brings us closer to God, which is closer to our dreams, closer to our happiness, closer to our families!  Simply closer to all those good things in life that we want and that bring us joy!

Life is great!  God is great! And I shall continue, like Alma, to rejoice in Him!  I love you all so much and I appreciate all that you have done and do for me daily!!!

Love, Sister Nelson
